Job Description

Working with a high performing team of engineers, designers and drafters with a passion for digital delivery, you will support the team in delivering projects across a diverse range of infrastructure and development projects. Your role will focus on the core civil engineering discipline, associated with roadworks, stormwater drainage & flooding, earthworks, pavements, water and sewerage infrastructure for key clients across Defence, Transport, Water Resources, Urban Development, Mining and Resource industries. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with best-in-industry peers across our organisation to create whole-of-business success for projects.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Planning and design of civil engineering infrastructure; roads & transport, stormwater assets (quantity and quality), services/utilities, earthworks, etc.
  • Technical and non-technical report writing in plain English.
  • Use of design standards and practices for civil infrastructure design (for example; QUDM, Qld Main Roads MRTS & Road Drainage Manual & Standard Drawings, IECA Erosion & Sediment Control, Austroads, QUU or Water Services Australia (WSA) Standards, South-East Queensland Local Council Design Guidelines/Standards, amongst others).
  • Detailed Design of Civil elements, including Civil Arrangements Design, Roadway/Carpark/Cycleway/Footpath Geometric Design, Stormwater Pit and Pipe Design (using 12d Drainage Network Editor, DRAINS or equivalent software), Stormwater Quality Assessment (using MUSIC software) PUP Conflict Assessment/Management, Design Management and coordination of multi-disciplinary design inputs.
  • Experience bidding, winning and delivering Civil Infrastructure projects to a high standard, within budget and on time.
  • Commercial/contractual management of projects.
  • Project or Design Management.

As you progress through our recruitment process, you'll have the opportunity to select your preferred discipline and location, along with second and third choices. To be considered for this role, please choose either "Civil - Water" or "Civil - Infrastructure (Hwys)" as your first preferred discipline. 

 

Qualifications

The qualities that help you thrive:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your final year or completed a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Graduate Year: You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program.
  • Australian Citizenship is required.
  • Commencement: You must be able to commence work by February 2026. We are open to mid-year finishers who are able to commence by July 2026.
