We’re looking for a motivated Graduate Occupational Therapist to join our Cairns, Mackay and Townsville teams in 2026 as part of our comprehensive graduate program. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your confidence and clinical skills through real-world experience, ongoing support, and learning alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals. You’ll benefit from the shared knowledge of experienced colleagues across a range of disciplines, setting you up for long-term success.
This 12-month program includes the potential for a permanent position, pending successful completion of probation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and plan high-quality, cost-effective therapy services for clients in your dedicated stream (adult or pediatric)
- Conduct specialised assessments and create individualised plans in accordance with company policies.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance clients' daily living skills.
- Collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate clients and their families on strategies to manage conditions and improve functionality.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and ensure timely documentation.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, referrers, and community stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Current Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening) and Blue Card (Working with Children) or ability to obtain prior to commencement and a current driver’s license.
