Graduate Occupational Therapist (Paediatric & Adult Available)

We’re looking for a motivated Graduate Occupational Therapist to join our Cairns, Mackay and Townsville teams in 2026 as part of our comprehensive graduate program. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your confidence and clinical skills through real-world experience, ongoing support, and learning alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals. You’ll benefit from the shared knowledge of experienced colleagues across a range of disciplines, setting you up for long-term success.

This 12-month program includes the potential for a permanent position, pending successful completion of probation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and plan high-quality, cost-effective therapy services for clients in your dedicated stream (adult or pediatric)
  • Conduct specialised assessments and create individualised plans in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance clients' daily living skills.
  • Collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Educate clients and their families on strategies to manage conditions and improve functionality.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and ensure timely documentation.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, referrers, and community stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Current Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening) and Blue Card (Working with Children) or ability to obtain prior to commencement and a current driver’s license.
  • A commitment to professional standards and exceptional client service.
