Our Graduate Program  

Our program includes structured rotations designed to immerse you in different areas of the business over two years. These rotations provide hands-on experience, build a broad skill set, and help you develop a strong understanding of the organisation to prepare you for your future career.  

Throughout the program, you’ll take part in tailored learning and development designed for early-career professionals. You’ll have access to LinkedIn Learning for self-paced growth, along with workshops and resources focused on building core skills like communication, leadership, and time management. 

Your rotations: 

Sydney based Opportunity - Alexandria

During your time with Ampol, you will join the Engineering and Construction department and have exposure to Network Planning and Real Estate, Maintenance, Construction and Environmental Services. You will be supported by leaders and the program as you work your way through your rotations prior to your permanent placement. 

Sydney based Opportunity - Kernell

During your time with Ampol, you will join the Distribution department and have exposure to Reliability and Maintenance, Tanks and Projects. You will be supported by leaders and the program as you work your way through your rotations prior to your permanent placement. 

Brisbane based Opportunity - Lytton

During your time with Ampol, you will join the infrastructure department and have exposure to Fixed and Rotating equipment and Inspections. You will be supported by leaders and the program as you work your way through your rotations prior to your permanent placement. 

About you 

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about growing critical skills necessary for professional growth, leadership, in fast paced industry. You will bring with you the ability to manage stakeholders, negotiation skills, attention to detail and an analytical and process mindset. 

Qualification criteria  

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering Engineering (Environmental or Mechanical) and recently graduated 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and negotiate effectively across diverse teams and levels 
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of work 
  • Process-oriented mindset, with a focus on structure, efficiency, and continuous improvement
