We are looking for passionate graduates, who want to make a real difference in the lives of those they treat, to join our two-year Graduate Program.
You’ll work with a team of dedicated allied health professionals, supporting your clients on their journey to return to work and return to life after physical or psychological injury.
Our Graduate Program will provide you with a well-rounded knowledge base, with 1-1 mentorship from a senior clinician along the way to make sure you are supported as you learn.
Everyday can look different at APM Workcare... but as a Graduate Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will be:
Provide initial assessment, psychometric testing and brief interventions for job seekers who have psychosocial and mental health barriers to obtaining or sustaining employment
Perform new employment vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, recovery support
Conduct initial assessments with injured workers and case management for return to same employment
Assess and report on psychological functional capacities/complete psychological functional assessments
Assess and make recommendations on effects of mental health and medical conditions on ability to work
Write detailed case notes and reports
Working with veterans to support their psychosocial, medical and RTW goals
Opportunity to provide Adjustment to Injury counselling and Vocational Counselling in-person and via phone to support clients’ rehabilitation
Work with adult clients living with varying socioeconomic, educational, psychosocial and nationality backgrounds

Now here’s the important bits... you need to:
Hold a degree in Rehabilitation Counselling
Be eligible for ASORC or RCAA accreditation, upon graduating
Have graduated in the last 12 months or graduating in 2025
Agree to a pre-employment national criminal check, prior to employment
Have full Australian working rights
Hold a full drivers’ license, your own vehicle and comprehensive insurance
