Kickstart your career with APRA’s Summer Internship Program! 
 
Join the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) for a 10-week full-time internship in our Sydney office from November 2026 to early February 2027. Gain hands-on experience shaping Australia’s financial sector, as you work with experts and contribute to meaningful work. 

What’s on offer? 

• Meaningful work: You’ll be placed within APRA’s Banking, Insurance or Superannuation supervision teams, working on a defined project. 

• Professional guidance and mentoring: Receive guidance and support from experienced industry professionals throughout your placement. 

• Competitive remuneration: You’ll be remunerated equivalent to $80,000 per annum inclusive of superannuation (pro rata for the period of the internship). 

• Networking: Build connections with peers and leaders in the financial sector. 

• Graduate pathway: You’ll be considered for placement in APRA’s graduate program for the following year. 

Who should apply? 

• Students entering their final year of undergraduate study in 2027, who are studying Economics, Finance, Commerce, Risk, Actuarial, Legal or similar subjects. 

• Australian citizens and students able to reside in Sydney for the duration of the program (APRA does not provide accommodation). 

• Individuals with a keen interest in financial services, regulation, and public service.
