Kuyim Primary School is in the Eastern suburbs within the vibrant Pakenham community. It is being built as part of the Victorian Government¿s commitment to deliver 100 new schools between 2019 and 2026. This school is set to welcome students on the first day of term 1, 2025.  It is situated at 10 Kennedy Road, Pakenham, with a capacity to accommodate 525 students.

Kuyim Primary School features landscaped grounds and recreational spaces, including a sports field, and hard courts, alongside a community hub.  We will prioritise equipping our students with the vital skills needed to cultivate positive social interactions, teamwork, and effective learning. Within our structured, supportive, and inspiring educational setting, we will strive to nurture holistic development.

In partnership with our supportive community, we will develop a culture that reflects our five values: REACH - Respect, Excellence, Adaptability, Courage, and Harmony. These values are the cornerstone of what we do; they support our approach to learning (for students and staff) and are key to the way in which we develop respectful relationships across the school.

Selection Criteria - Graduates

SC1    Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the capacity to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. Demonstrated capacity to respond to student learning needs.

SC2    Demonstrated capacity to implement high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth. 

SC3    Demonstrated capacity to monitor and assess student learning. Demonstrated capacity to use data to inform teaching practice and to provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.

SC4    Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning, wellbeing and engagement.    

SC5    Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values. Demonstrated capacity to reflect upon practice and engage in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
