Graduate Teacher Program - Plenty Parklands Primary School

Plenty Parklands is looking for a Classroom Teacher with enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a love of teaching primary aged students to join our school community. We work closely in year level teams to develop an engaging and challenging curriculum. The successful applicant will be required to build positive relationships with students, between students, and with colleagues and parents within our strong values based community.

  • Wednesday 13 August 9:30am - 10:00am
  • Wednesday 13 August 4:30pm -  5:00pm
  • Monday       18 August 4:00pm -  4:30pm 
  • Wednesday 27 August 11:30am -  12:00pm 

With approximately 730 students, 550 families and 70 staff, we need an enthusiastic staff member who demonstrates a real understanding of how students learn and who is committed to continuous improvement.

The teaching profile in 2025 is 2 Principal Class, 3 Leading Teachers, 3 Learning Specialists, a range of experienced Teachers and Education Support staff.

All staff members are involved in the implementation of a comprehensive Victorian curriculum and are committed to continuous improvement.  We will be implementing the second year of our School Strategic Plan.  

 

Selection Criteria - Graduates

SC1    Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the capacity to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. Demonstrated capacity to respond to student learning needs.

SC2    Demonstrated capacity to implement high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth. 

SC3    Demonstrated capacity to monitor and assess student learning. Demonstrated capacity to use data to inform teaching practice and to provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.

SC4    Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning, wellbeing and engagement.    

SC5    Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values. Demonstrated capacity to reflect upon practice and engage in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
