We’re looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our Resources & Materials Engineering team in Perth.

Our Resources & Materials Engineering team continues to work on a steady pipeline of exciting and innovative projects and is currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Graduate Electrical Engineer to join their dedicated Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls team. The team is responsible for Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls engineering delivery on a diverse range of projects including water, mining, intelligent transportation, ports, defence facilities and renewable energy.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Embrace our shared commitment to safety in all aspects of our work.
• A strong desire to learn and solve problems in a team context.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task and self-prioritize workload.
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Be willing to travel occasionally if required.
• A 4 or 5-year Engineering degree in Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls or equivalent, accredited by Engineers Australia

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in producing a variety of Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls engineering designs from planning through to delivery.
• Report writing and producing technical specifications 
• Developing knowledge and experience in GHD job delivery processes and helping to manage the efficient execution of jobs to deliver value for clients and GHD.
• Growing your network of professional contacts through your client interactions and interactions with the GHD community.

• By year two, you’ll have the flexibility to style your development, whether that’s diving deeper into your technical development or soaking up wisdom from your mentors.

• Meet the team: Next, you’ll have a face-to-face or virtual interview with your prospective team. We’ll chat through some behavioural based questions to learn more about your skills and experience. It’s also a chance for you to get to know us!
• Psychometric assessments: These quick tests give us a glimpse into how you like to work and your strengths in relation to the role, complementing what we learn during your interview.
• Offer: Congratulations! If you’re successful, we’ll talk through all the finer details, like salary, your start date, and our background checking process.
