About us:
Our Accounting and Tax Division has over 80 people and will give the successful Graduates the opportunity to experience and progress through various career pathways including complex tax advisory, business consulting, outsourced finance functions or general accounting and tax services for a portfolio of clients with both Corporate and Private Clients.
Our Accounting and Tax Graduate Training Programs offers rewarding and purposeful development. Typically running over a 24-month period, you will attend both internal and external training sessions that teach the skills you need to excel in your professional development. The program is also structured to ensure you gain practical experience in working with a wide variety of clients and across the various Accounting & Tax specialties. By the end of the program, our participants have the broad base of skills and experience they need to continue their career as a trusted advisor with a sense of confidence and accomplishment.

You will be allocated multiple team members of varying experience who will assist you both in you day to day job as well as goal setting and career planning and development.
Your day to day will include:
- Collaborate with Seniors, Managers and Partners to complete assigned client engagements.
- Drafting of annual financial reports for private family business, high-net-wealth clients and mid-to-large corporations.
- Drafting of tax compliance work, including Income Tax Returns, Fringe Benefits Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements and International Dealings Schedules.
- Maintaining and utilising accounting and financial reporting software, including Xero.
- Assist in the preparation of taxation and general business advice.
- Support annual tax planning, such as in the delivery of Trust Distribution and Dividend Resolutions.
- Supporting collaboration across the various HLB Mann Judd divisions.
- Liaising with government bodies on various taxation and compliance matters.
- Assist in the preparation of fees and analysis of budgets.
- Support client communications and the delivery of excellent client service.
- Participate in team/divisional meetings, structured training sessions and social events.
- Demonstrate an ability to adopt new technologies and systems in an agile environment.

What We’re Looking For:
- A recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proactive and motivated approach to work.
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
- Commitment to achieving the Chartered Accountants qualification.
