You could be a great fit if you’re:

  • A natural collaborator: You’re happy working with people across different teams, countries and cultures, building great relationships.
  • An analytical thinker: You love breaking down problems to find the cause, then solving for the better.
  • Self-motivated and driven: You take pride in your work and take ownership of what you do. You’re responsive to people’s requests and meet deadlines every time.
  • Eager to learn: Self-improvement is a top priority for you. You’re always looking for new information that helps you learn.
  • An effective communicator: You can express yourself clearly and adapt your style based on who you’re speaking to. You can simplify complex ideas and explain them to people with different levels of understanding.

What you’ll do

Insurance is about trust, protection, and peace of mind. HSBC Life helps people and companies safeguard their futures. As part of the graduate programme, you’ll dive into insurance – seeing how we protect families, homes, and businesses, and always look to find ways to improve what we do.

You’ll rotate across teams, experiencing insurance from every angle. Your role is to understand how we support people and businesses – then help make it even better.

Working across Channel & Customer, Product Manufacturing, Operations, and Strategy, you’ll:

  • Work on transformation projects, using data to spot trends and shape decisions.
  • Learn how to design customer-first insurance products and journeys.
  • Gain hands-on experience in problem-solving, issue management, and creating solutions.

What you’ll learn

We’ll give you the skills to become an insurance expert who really understands people. You’ll get technical training, mentoring, and hands-on experience, plus access to HSBC’s global learning platforms.

You’ll benefit from:

  • On-the-ground experience: Rotate across different teams to gain broad exposure.
  • Expert-led training: Learn from leaders inside and outside HSBC.
  • Self-development: Use our Insurance Academy and HSBC University to expand your knowledge.
