Structural Undergraduate Program 2026-27 (Sydney)

LCI is seeking a Structural Intern for our Sydney office. We are an engineering design house specialising in the building services and the structural design of buildings. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the design of structural elements/systems to project brief, relevant codes, standards and regulations.
  • Read project documents and materials (drawings, specifications, correspondences etc.) to comprehend and develop best structural solutions.
  • Produce accurate computations and present in required formats.
  • Support project delivery to meet deadlines.
  • Plan and manage assigned tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Work with others cooperatively in multidisciplinary teams to achieve desired project outcomes.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • The ideal candidates will be working towards a Degree Engineering (in their 3rd or 4th year).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Time-management skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, engagement and willingness to learn.
  • Understanding of engineering practices and structural drawings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop high-level technical competence and quality.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
