This year, internship positions are available in the following teams:
Operations & Planning: Strategic Network Operations
Explore how a large-scale electricity network is planned, monitored and operated.
Here, you'll work with our Strategic Network Operations team to support projects that improve operational decision-making and network performance. You may assist with network simulations, operational data analysis, dashboard development, forecasting, automation and studies that support future network operations.
You'll gain exposure to areas such as power system operations, system strength, forecasting, performance monitoring and emerging technologies, while developing practical analytical and problem-solving skills in a real-world environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to see how data, technology and engineering come together to support the reliable delivery of electricity across Queensland.
Applications are open to Electrical Engineering students who have completed at least two years of undergraduate study.

This year, our Summer Vacation Program will commence on Monday 16th of November 2026 and run until Friday 5th of February 2027. Please note, there may be a Christmas Closure period over the December period that you will be required to take paid/unpaid leave for.
