As a R&D Tax Graduate at RSM, you will have the opportunity to develop fundamental tax knowledge and skills, analyse financial statements / data and technical reports, prepare R&D tax submissions, write taxation advice, and much more!

Key responsibilities:

• Working within a rapidly growing team that draws on diverse disciplines including science, engineering, accounting and law
• Engaging directly with clients and building strong professional relationships
• Preparing advice on government incentives for technology and innovation
• Drafting applications for government grants
• Preparing R&D Registrations that outline project scope and eligible R&D activities
• Interpreting and applying R&D tax legislation and relevant sections of the Income Tax Act
• Analysing financial statements and underlying data to calculate eligible R&D expenditure
• Supporting administrative tasks such as file preparation, risk assessments, billing and communication

About You:

You’re someone who is curious, analytical and eager to learn. You bring initiative, professionalism and a strong sense of integrity to everything you do. You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Are studying or have completed a degree in Tax, Law, Business Law, Accounting, Science, IT or ICT
• Communicate clearly and confidently with clients and colleagues
• Can manage tasks effectively and prioritise work in a fast‑paced environment
• Are proactive in seeking learning and development opportunities
• Take initiative, contribute ideas and enjoy working collaboratively
• Are comfortable engaging with people across different levels and disciplines
• Bring a positive attitude, resilience and a commitment to continuous growth
• Hold Australian Citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency or New Zealand Permanent Residency
