Responsibilities

• Develop automatic & dynamic risk reports for trading desks' perfomance and market risk monitoring.
• Understand the internal data flow and infrastructure.
• Assist in Understanding the market risk metrics methodology and conduct quantitative analysis over metrics consumption.
• Assist in understanding the valuation model of financial product and identifying the key performance indicators.
• Assist the team in setting up and documenting the data infrastructure on risk and control reports.
• Assist in conducting market research, mainly focus on fixed income global market. 

Profile required

• Current university student, with major in Risk management, Mathematics, Data Science or similar is preferred.
• Experience in Excel/VBA and Python is mandatory. Knowledge in PowerBI is a plus.
• Good in numerical sense & detail-oriented.
• Fundamental knowledge in fixed income product, market risk model & data analysis.
• Able to meet deadlines and anticipate potential issues.
• Fluent English is mandatory

This is a 3 month full-time internship with Société Générale in Hong Kong whereby you will work within one business line / support function for the period. Department Description

The Metric Monitoring Group is part of Market Risk Department and its mandate mainly consist of the following:

• PnL Certification
• Market Risk Certification
• Projects 

The Risk Analyst focuses on equity derivatives or fixed income activity, and its production, analysis, comments and diffusion of the official economic P&L and market risk metrics. MMG is the main point of contact of DFIN and FO management and is also responsible for facilitating trading desks on ad-hoc reporting and analysis needs linked to P&L and risk.

The intern will work on the transversal projects;

• Short term project P&L/IA evolution report with Trading desk activity monitring
• Support the team in setting up and documenting the data infrastructure on risk and control reports. Furthermore, assists the team to utilize advanced analytics method to stay ahead of current risks and explore risk intelligence solutions to improve risk management framework.
