What the Group Treasury graduate program will offer you?

  • Dive into the world of capital, funding, and balance sheet management at Westpac and gain real-world experience
  • Develop your skills in managing liquidity, capital, and risk, while making an impact in a fast-paced environment.

Please note: Whilst this stream provides exposure to aspects of market risk management, it is not a trading program. Trading experience can be obtained via application to the FM & Treasury stream.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • A keen interest in understanding how Westpac strategically manages economic risks to create and protect value for both our customers and the group. 
  • Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply however you will need to demonstrate a keen interest in economics, banking and finance, and possess a diverse skillset to be successful in your application.

You will also need:

  • To be in in your final year of study of a university degree, or
  • You can have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, but it must be no more than three years ago.
  • You also need to be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident when you apply.
