2025 Operational Excellence Intern - Data Science & Analytics

The CSL Internship Program is a paid 10-week program for university undergraduate and postgraduates students in their second last year of study. 

Our program is focused on giving you hands-on experience and enhancing your future skills through learning and development opportunities all whilst working alongside and learning from a diverse group of professionals who are leaders in their field.

Throughout your program journey, you’ll be supported with a dedicated Program Manager, line manager and one of our current graduates with exposure to various teams and functions across the business. At the end of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to apply to and be considered for early offers to join our award winning Graduate Program for the following year.

As an intern at CSL, you’ll find out what it’s takes to deliver on our promise to save lives and protect the health of people around the world. 

As an undergraduate in the Operational Excellence stream, you will be involved in activities that support the efficient delivery of our products to our patients. You will have the opportunity to work with the local and global OE team who work across multiple streams in the business including Manufacturing operations, Quality and Data Analytics enabling the implementation of the company strategy. Through this program you will have the opportunity to gain insight across multiple disciplines, gaining both local and global context building foundational capability that is transferable to all roles in our manufacturing facilities.

You will have the chance to:

  • Develop and implement approved improvement initiatives, aligned to our company strategy and our Compelling Business Needs (CBN)
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of continuous improvement mindset by leveraging our End to End Operating System and the associated tools in our ‘tool kit’
  • Leverage off data analytics to create process insights enabling data driven decision making affecting areas such Yield, Capacity, Cycle Time and Right First Time.
  • Contribute to the delivery of workshops and training using Lean Methodology and best practice improvement frameworks

Preferred degrees/ disciplines: Engineering (Process, Mechanical), Manufacturing Operations, Data Science, Data Analysis
