About the role 

Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, this role provides diverse opportunities within the Sustainability portfolio which covers environment, social responsibility, indigenous relations, external reporting, training, health, risk and safety. The successful candidate may focus on one or more areas within the portfolio.

As part of the broader Sustainability team, this role allows graduates to engage in a variety of activities aimed at building practical expertise within the mining industry. The position is designed to encourage innovation, growth, and success.

The following is a general guide to the types of roles and responsibilities the graduate may undertake:

• Collect data, analyse and prepare professional documents and reports.
• Conduct fieldwork including sampling, inspections, assurance and stakeholder engagement.
• Support the use and maintenance of Sustainability-related information management systems.
• Participate in Sustainability initiatives to continuously improve work practices and promote positive change.
• Participate in and complete risk assessments and implement controls.
• Support implementation and ensure compliance with Evolution’s Sustainability Policy and Standards.

About you

This role requires a passionate, proactive individual with a strong commitment to supporting sustainability initiatives in a mining context.

Key skills and qualifications required for the role include:

• A tertiary qualification in the nominated focus area (e.g. Bachelor of Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a sustainability-related field).
• Ability to analyse and interpret data and write reports.
• Strong planning, organisation, and decision-making abilities, along with good communication and presentation skills.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office applications, good computer literacy and the ability to manage data effectively.
• Manual Driver’s License or the ability to obtain a manual driver’s license before the program begins.
• Alignment with Evolution’s core values.
• Any relevant work experience, certifications or training will be an asset.

This program is designed for driven and ambitious graduates looking to build a strong foundation in Sustainability within the mining industry. By developing key technical, analytical, and leadership skills, participants will gain valuable experience and contribute to Evolution Mining’s continued success.
