About the Future Investors Program 

As a Future Investor you will get the opportunity to join one of our investment or investment related teams. By working closely with your team, you will gain a real life understanding of investing and be immersed in our unique total portfolio approach to investing. ByBy working on relevant projects, getting stuck into daily processes and shadowing a knowledgeable mentor you will gain an understanding of how and why we do what we do. 

Throughout the program you will also get the chance to meet with industry leaders, develop key business skills through targeted workshops and listen to subject matter experts give talks on a range of interesting investment principles.   

Internship placements are available in the following teams: 

· Private Equity (Sydney): 

A generalist unlisted asset investment team, accessing the unlisted equity market through investing in private equity funds and related co-investment opportunities. Covering both developing and emerging markets, the Private Equity team aims to deliver high alpha investments and provide unique exposures (venture capital, growth equity etc.) 

· Unlisted Property (Melbourne): 

Responsible for managing a global portfolio of unlisted property investments held by funds and mandates managed by the Agency. These include investments via both debt and equity in specific property portfolios, as well as investments in a global portfolio of pooled funds and co-investments alongside our external investment managers. 

· Investment Capability and Intelligence (Melbourne):

The ICI team enhances capability throughout the whole of the investment team, ensuring our investment process runs efficiently and capability is harnessed across the portfolio. It coordinates the intersection between technology and investment, ensuring our systems are helping achieve the investment mandate. ICI leverages the asset teams to deliver research and insights with portfolio implications. 

· Portfolio Integration (Melbourne): 

Team Background: The Portfolio Integration (PI) Team leads portfolio construction of our physical portfolios. As a core part of our investment process, the PI Team works closely with other portfolio design teams and asset class teams on strategy formulation and implementation.

Skill Preferences: We seek a candidate with a strong interest in financial markets and investing, along with excellent numerical and analytical skills. The candidate should be comfortable handling large datasets and have experience in financial modelling. Programming skills will be highly valued.

· Alternatives (Melbourne): 

Improving our total portfolio resilience and provide protection during market environments less favorable for broader risk assets. With a strong focus on liquidity and flexibility, the Alternatives portfolio aims to add diversifying strategies to the total portfolio.

· Investment Data Management (Melbourne)

The Data Governance and Experience team is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the user experience function and the data governance framework and policies for all Investment data. Working across the Investment team to ensure we have the best possible tools to manage our wealth of Investment data. 

· Performance and Analytics (Sydney)

The Performance & Analytics team plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate measurement, analysis, and attribution of investment returns across all the funds and investment sectors managed by Future Fund. This function provides performance insights to support investment decision-making, risk assessment, and strategic asset allocation.
