Application Process
We like to keep things simple, especially when it comes to the application process.
When you apply for the Graduate Program, you’ll move through the following four stages:
- Apply Online
Before applying, we encourage you to review our Graduate program streams and explore the opportunities available. You can also register your interest to be notified when applications open.
Please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria below before submitting your application:

You are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a permanent resident, at the time of application.

You will have completed a Bachelor’s degree prior to commencing the program.

- Online Assessment
Once you have submitted your application, you will complete an online assessment and video interview. This is your opportunity to demonstrate how you think, solve problems, and approach real world scenarios.
Throughout the process, you will gain insight into the types of challenges and experiences you may encounter as a Coles Graduate. The assessment is untimed and takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.

Discovery Centre
The Discovery Centre is our chance to meet you and your opportunity to engage with us directly! You'll take part in a range of activities, but most importantly, we want to ensure you walk away with valuable insights about yourself and Coles. We believe feedback is key to growth, so every candidate who participates in the Discovery Centre will receive feedback, whether successful or not. -
Verbal Offer
If you’re successful at the Discovery Centre, you’ll receive a verbal offer to join the Coles Graduate Program. From there, your journey continues with a few simple next steps, completing pre hire checks, accepting your contract, and jumping into online onboarding. You’ll also be invited to keep in touch sessions where you can meet your future cohort and the talent programs team. Then it’s time to officially kick off your graduate journey and start building your career at Coles!
