Occupational Therapy
Our team helps children achieve their development milestones such as fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to help play, school or independent skills (e.g. throwing a ball, getting dressed, holding a pencil or utensil). We educate and involve parents, carers and others to facilitate the development and learning of children. We help children with developmental delays learn everyday tasks (such as bathing, getting dressed, brushing their teeth and feeding themselves). Additionally, we assist with behavioural issues e.g. instead of hitting others and acting out, using positive ways to deal with anger such as writing about feelings or participating in physical activity.
Speech Pathology
At Early Start, we help children achieve their development milestones such as communicating their wants and needs to assist them in everyday activities (such as playing with their friends/family).
We educate parents, carers and others around the child to support the communication and language development of the child. Our Goal is to help our clients to speak with clear and correct pronunciation so that peers/others can understand them. We Treat stuttering and articulation disorders to speak fluently and confidently, as well as address literacy, reading and writing difficulties, in conjunction with teachers and schools.
