Grace O'Neill

Campaign Coordinator
Early Careers Program | From For-Credit Intern to Permanent Employee

What’s your name, your role, and what team are you currently in?
Grace O'Neill, Influencer Campaign Coordinator, Influencer Team.

Why did you initially choose to join VidaCorp’s Internship Program?
I chose to join VidaCorp’s Internship Program because I was looking for an opportunity to start my career in the beauty space. The program stood out to me because it offered hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

What has been the highlight of your VidaCorp career so far?
The highlight of my career so far has been transitioning from an intern to a member of the influencer team within MCoBeauty. It’s been great to see my ideas come to life and be part of campaigns that genuinely connect with our audience.

What does a typical day look like for you?
No two days are exactly the same, but generally, my day involves fulfilling admin tasks for the influencer team such as influencer send outs, campaign management in Traackr, and managing PR stock. I also spend time looking for new talent and assisting on the creative mailers and creator program.

Any advice for students thinking about applying to the Early Careers program?
My advice would be to go for it. Make sure to be open to learning, ask questions, and take initiative. The more you put into the experience, the more you’ll get out of it.

What is your favourite thing about working with MCoBeauty?
At MCoBeauty, creativity is encouraged and celebrated, and there’s a strong sense of collaboration across teams. The team is welcoming and creates a supportive environment for my ideas.

Pauline Papa

Engagement Specialist - Nude By Nature
From For-Credit Intern to Permanent Employee

What’s your name, your role, and what team are you currently in?

My name is Pauline Papa; I’m engagement specialist working in the social team under Nude by Nature.

Why did you initially choose to join VidaCorp’s Internship Program?

I originally chose this program as I knew even before I finished university that my dream industry was in beauty, fashion and wellness. So, when I had to do an internship for my degree, I was looking for experience that could help me get experience into these fields. This program was something that I found on our RMIT career hub and after reading the brief and doing research into the brand, it was everything I was looking for. Hands on experience, global opportunities and strategy.

What has been the highlight of your VidaCorp career so far?

The highlight of my career at VidaCorp is the interstate exposure and events. I love going out of my comfort zone, adapting into new environments and exploring. With this job I was able to go to Sydney, Brisbane, conferences, and brand events. Each one has been a great learning experience that has helped me grow as a person, my presenting skills, develop my creativity and work collaboratively with all types of teams.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I get into the office and start my day with a must-have cup of matcha from Level 4. Once I’ve settled at my desk, I check my emails before jumping onto our socials - I like to dedicate time at the start and/or end of my day to community engagement. During this time, I also keep an eye out for any trending content we could tap into. I check our upcoming feeds and support where I can, whether that’s creating stories or editing posts. I also review the performance of our paid ads to note what’s working and what might need tweaking. Since most of the team is based in Sydney, we usually have a catch-up to chat through social ideas and strategy, and any actions from that meeting guide my next steps for the day.

Any advice for students thinking about applying to the Early Careers program?

Just go for it! When I was at the stage where I was applying to internships, I was nervous about my qualifications and experience but honestly companies like this one don’t expect you to know everything – they are literally there to help you learn and grow. I think it’s better to shift that mindset into one that is proactive, open and eager to learn.

What is your favourite thing about working with Nude by Nature?

My favourite thing about working with Nude by Nature is easily the team – and not just my direct team but everyone around me in the office from all different brands. Everyone is very welcoming and so knowledgeable in their fields. Working under my manager (Ross) in the social team literally changed my brain chemistry in the best way imaginable. His experience in beauty, the way he speaks about the brand, the direction the brand is going and chatting and strategizing with him – I love how it has pushed and supported my growth creatively and analytically in the team. And I can say the same about everyone else I’ve worked with on the NBN team.

Melodi Simsek

Marketing Intern | Health & Wellness
For-Credit Internship

What’s your name, your role, and what team are you currently in?

Hey! I’m Melodi, and I’m a Loyalty Coordinator in the Marketing team at Independent Pharmacies Australia (IPA).

Why did you initially choose to join VidaCorp’s Internship Program?
What attracted me to the internship program was the chance to work across such a wide range of brands in the beauty, health, and wellness space as I’ve always been very interested in these areas. It felt like the perfect program to gain marketing experience, while also learning from experienced professionals in the industry.

What has been the highlight of your DBG career so far?
The internship program was a real turning point for me. It led to more opportunities within DBG, and I ended up landing my first full-time role in marketing.

What does a typical day look like for you?

My days are fast paced and full of variety. I usually start my morning by checking emails and prioritising tasks for the day. From there, it’s anything from loyalty program performance tracking and customer insights analysis to working with suppliers, coordinating campaigns, and helping plan new initiatives. I also spend a lot of time in meetings and strategy sessions with the team which includes lots of collaboration and bouncing ideas around. One thing that remains a constant in my day-to-day is ensuring I deliver the best possible experience for our pharmacies by keeping every interaction and initiative centred around their needs.

Any advice for students thinking about applying to the Early Careers program?

Be yourself, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. One of the most rewarding things I did was say yes to every opportunity, especially the ones that felt a little scary.

What’s your favourite thing about working with IPA?
Definitely the people. My team is so supportive, positive, and genuinely fun to be around. Having that kind of environment makes a big difference.

John Aban

Graduate Executive
Graduate Program | 2025

What’s your name, your role, and what team are you currently in?

Hey, I’m John! I’m currently a Territory Manager in the NSW/ACT Field Sales team as part of my first grad rotation.

Why did you choose to join VidaCorp’s Graduate Program?

What drew me in was the rare opportunity to rotate across key commercial areas. Pair that with my love for all things beauty / health / wellness, and it felt like the perfect launchpad to build real industry experience with structured career growth.

What has been the highlight of your experience so far?

Definitely travelling to Orange! Exploring regional NSW wasn’t at the top of my travelling list, but it ended up being such a rewarding experience. Oh - and flying up to the Gold Coast in my second week for a conference was wild! (and a great way to meet the wider team early on).

What does a typical day look like for you?

Every day’s a bit different, but in Field Sales I usually spend my time driving across Sydney, visiting pharmacy customers and helping solve their business needs. I’ve got the freedom to plan my day and in between visits, I squeeze in some admin time or join some meetings to keep things moving.

What’s one thing that surprised you about working at VidaCorp?

Honestly, how supportive everyone is. Entering the corporate world as a grad can feel overwhelming but the people here genuinely want to see you grow and that’s made such a big difference in my confidence and learning.

What’s something you’ve learned that’s shaped your professional growth?

The power of relationships. In Field Sales, you’re constantly training how you communicate, negotiate and adapt to different personalities. It’s taught me that strong relationships are key, not just in sales, but in any part of your career.

Any advice for students thinking about applying to the program?

Pick something that aligns with both your passion and where you want to grow professionally. For me, VidaCorp stood out because I saw a future in the beauty, health and wellness industry. Also, the rotational setup means I’m building a broad skillset while figuring out what I love most.

Caitlin Latouf

Graduate Executive
Graduate Program | 2025

What’s your name, your role, and what team are you currently in?

My name is Caitlin. I’m currently in the Field Sales rotation, and I work with the NSW Field Sales team.

Why did you choose to join VidaCorp’s Graduate Program?

I chose to join the VidaCorp Grad program as I was drawn to the opportunity to blend pharmaceutical and marketing expertise. The company offers an extremely broad portfolio of products, and immerses team members in diverse experiences across beauty, wellness, and over the counter medication products.

What has been the highlight of your experience so far?

My personal highlight has been the DBG conference. I really enjoyed seeing all pillars of the business come together, and it was an amazing opportunity to network with professionals across the wider industry.

What does a typical day look like for you?

The amazing thing about field sales is that every day is unique, with every appointment in pharmacy offering new opportunities to learn and grow relationships. As a field sales team member, I give updates on current successes for the business and offer opportunities that can be unlocked within the Vida Corp portfolio. These insights are sourced from various data reports, reviews of previous call notes, analysis of current seasonal trends, and the specific needs of the store. I make recommendations and drive sales of key products within the portfolio, while attuning the priorities of the business to respond to customer needs.

What’s one thing that surprised you about working at VidaCorp?

I was surprised by the breadth of opportunities to work across a variety of portfolios. I’ve had the opportunity to work with pioneering beauty brands such as MCoBeauty and Nude by Nature, as well as develop understanding of a range of pharmaceutical and wellbeing products. Synergy across the range of health, wellness and beauty products has been really amazing to experience throughout my role.

What’s something you’ve learned that’s shaped your professional growth?

As a member of the field team, I’ve learnt about the art of asking the right questions, and the importance of relationship development, as a key driver of success. Working with over 70 diverse customers has allowed me to become agile in the way I approach business conversations and prompted me to consider different ways to approach a customer. I’ve learnt a lot about asking the right questions to probe and prompt a response, which has been integral to my professional growth.

Any advice for students thinking about applying to the program?

This role offers such a diverse range of opportunities – you’re going to love it! Have a look at each rotation and assess where you think your best opportunities for success and growth are.

Petria Travassaros

Graduate Executive
Graduate Program | 2025

What’s your name, your role, and what team are you currently in?

My name is Petria Travassaros, I am a Graduate Executive currently in the Victoria OTC Territory Manager team.

Why did you choose to join VidaCorp’s Graduate Program?

I was seeking a graduate role that would allow me to explore various areas of marketing and help me discover what I love. I was drawn to the rotation that the graduate program offers, as it really allows me to develop experience across many different areas. As someone with a strong personal interest in beauty and a frequent consumer in the space, I was eager to gain a deeper understanding of the industry from the inside out. I initially had limited knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector, but I was keen to dive into a new industry and grow in a completely new environment.

What has been the highlight of your experience so far?

My highlight would definitely be the VidaCorp conference in the Gold Coast. There was so many networking opportunities where I met many different people from around the business which was quite valuable. I also loved having the opportunity to hang out with the other grads outside of a work setting. The conference gave me a deeper understanding of VidaCorp as a business and offered a valuable perspective on the awesome world I had just become a part of.

What does a typical day look like for you?

My mornings begin with checking emails and marking urgent priorities. From there, I head to my first store. Each day is a blend of planning, meaningful conversations, relationship building, time on the road, and reporting. At each store, I engage with the key decision-maker and focus on executing priorities driven by data and our overall objectives. Priorities could entail, securing a new product in store, agreeing on a position for an off location or re-arranging the shelf to gain a higher share of shelf. While I aim to accomplish most priorities during each visit, every visit is unique, often unpredictable, but that's part of what makes the role dynamic and rewarding. Each visit reveals new opportunities, and I’m consistently impressed by the results we’re able to achieve.

What’s one thing that surprised you about working at VidaCorp?

I was surprised by the level of support provided to the grads. I felt white overwhelmed coming into my first full time role, but the number of trainings and support that we had was great to really prepare ourselves and settle the nerves. It gave us a strong foundation and a clear understanding of both the expectations and the knowledge required to succeed in our roles.

What’s something you’ve learned that’s shaped your professional growth?

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is the importance of listening to others wherever and whenever. Whether its networking events, team meetings or shadowing in field, taking the time to absorb insights from others has been instrumental in my personal development. Being more aware of how much you can learn from others has made a big impact on me. It’s helped me better understand the business, build stronger relationships, and grow both personally and professionally.

Any advice for students thinking about applying to the program?

If you are after infinite learning opportunities, intensive trainings, challenges, skill building, a great work culture and a fun work environment, just do it!

Mai Nguyen

Graduate Executive
Graduate Program | 2025

What’s your name, your role, and what team are you currently in?
Hi! I’m Mai Nguyen. I’m currently a Graduate Executive in the Account Management stream, working with the Chemist Warehouse Sales team.

Why did you choose to join VidaCorp’s Graduate Program?
To be honest, the assessment day left such a strong impression on me. We got a great introduction to the business and its incredible portfolio of health, wellness, and beauty brands. It was so inspiring to see how quickly the company has grown in just a few years.

What really stood out, though, was the chance to meet senior leaders who were genuinely down-to-earth, open, and happy to share their stories. It gave us a clear picture of the culture - collaborative, friendly, and supportive. For someone like me who’s passionate about marketing and sales, the opportunities and career progression after the graduate program were a huge drawcard. It just felt like the right fit.

What has been the highlight of your experience so far?
Definitely the chance to explore a completely new role with so much support from the team. I had heard of "account management" before, but I really had no idea what it actually involved. Since starting, I’ve discovered it’s such a great blend of both sales and marketing. We’re constantly working with customers to bring brand plans to life, drive sales KPIs, and ensure execution in-store. It’s been so rewarding to learn on the job and see real impact from the work we do.

What does a typical day look like for you?
I get into the office at 8:30am and start the day by checking emails and my calendar. Then I update our daily sales report so the team can review how we’re tracking. Once a week, we have a quick WIP meeting to align on any urgent tasks or updates from the business, our brands, or customers. Most of my day involves a mix of admin and team collaboration - things like updating masterfiles, checking product data, or managing store lists. Meetings usually kick off around 11am and can be with internal teams like Brand Marketing or external buyers and customer contacts. I also try to squeeze in time in for learning, whether that’s building Excel skills or sitting with my teammate to pick up something new.

What’s one thing that surprised you about working at VidaCorp?
Honestly, how generous people are with their time and knowledge. I had teammates go out of their way to include me in customer meetings, strategy sessions, or even just quick explainers when I was curious about something. One teammate invited me to join her customer meetings so I could see how relationship building works in practice. Another brought me into internal marketing meetings just because she knew I had an interest in that area. That level of support and encouragement to learn has helped me grow my confidence and build a much deeper understanding of the business—way beyond what I learned at univerisity.

What’s something you’ve learned that’s shaped your professional growth?
I’ve picked up so much already, even though it’s only been just over six months. The biggest lesson? If you don’t know something - ask. It’s totally okay not to know everything, and people are more than happy to help. Also, don’t assume things or be afraid to get involved. Even asking simple questions has led me to new learnings, connections, and even cool project opportunities I wouldn’t have known about otherwise.

Any advice for students thinking about applying to the program?
Be yourself, and don’t hold back. Show who you are, ask questions, and be open to learning. It’s not about having all the answers - it’s about being curious, genuine, and ready to grow. If you’re interested in marketing, sales, or brand work, this is a great place to start your career. Everyone here wants to see you succeed.

I was met with some super exciting opportunities including getting to work with some of the biggest and growing beauty brands such as MCoBeauty, Nude By Nature, and Esmi!

What has been the highlight of your experience so far?

Team bonding activities – we have a huge team of 20 across Melbourne and Sydney. When we gather it’s hard not to have fun (think paintball sessions and team dinners).

What does a typical day look like for you?

Mostly working with reporting and data across influencer marketing and the DTC team. I primarily use PowerBI, Excel, and other marketing platforms to collate data and help teams digest information for decision-making, including designing PowerBI dashboards, analyzing data, and presenting insights.

What’s one thing that surprised you about working at VidaCorp?

Great opportunities to network and have fun at the same time. In the first month we were flown out to a VidaCorp conference in the Gold Coast. We also attended our annual DBG conference where teams gather company-wide to celebrate achievements and stay aligned on exciting projects and product launches in the coming years. Also, free beauty products from time to time (they make great gifts).
