Our Australian Operations
Boddington
Boddington – Australia | Newmont Corporation – Operations & Projects
Newmont’s Boddington mine operates within the Saddleback greenstone belt in Western Australia. A large gold and copper mine, Boddington is located 16 km from the rural farming town of Boddington and 130 km from Western Australia’s capital city, Perth.
Boddington was a three-way joint venture between Newmont, AngloGold Ashanti and Newcrest. In 2009, Newmont purchased AngloGold Ashanti’s shares to become the sole owner of Boddington.
Commercial production began in 2009, and in March 2011 the operation produced its first 1 million ounces of gold.
Cadia
Cadia – Australia | Newmont Corporation – Operations & Projects
Cadia is one of Australia’s largest gold mining operations. In the 2023 fiscal year, Cadia produced 597 Koz of gold at an all-in sustaining cost of $45 per ounce.
In November 2022, the Panel Cave (PC) 1-2 feasibility study was approved to execution. PC1-2 is the next panel cave for execution at Cadia after PC2-3, and its development is expected to recover approximately 20 percent of Cadia’s published ore reserves.
The Cadia East mine is operating; the Ridgeway mine is not operational and remains subject to maintenance requirements.
Tanami
Tanami – Australia | Newmont Corporation – Operations & Projects
Newmont has fully owned and operated the Tanami mine since 2002. The mine operates in the remote Tanami Desert of Australia.
The mine and plant are located on Aboriginal freehold land that is owned by the Warlpiri people and managed on their behalf by the Central Desert Aboriginal Lands Trust.
Tanami is a fly-in-fly-out operation in one of Australia’s most remote locations. Tanami is 270 km from its closest neighbors, the remote Aboriginal community of Yuendumu.

Our team will review your application including taking into consideration your academic results, the relevance of your tertiary qualification, previous vacation work experience, your involvement in extracurricular activities including sport, other interests, memberships, community based activities or work experience, and importantly, your willingness to work in regional/remote locations.
First interview with relevant stakeholders
The first interview will be a behavioural-based interview (usually via phone) with someone from our Talent Acquisition Team, the Newmont discipline lead (usually based in Head Office), and representatives from our Telfer (WA) and Cadia (NSW) sites.

After the offer
We will keep in touch with you with relevant business updates and onboarding activities to ensure you are ready to start your new role.
You will need to successfully complete a medical and police/background clearances prior to your commencement so we’ll arrange this with you.
You will also need to provide a final copy of your academic transcript before you commence and a copy of your degree when your formally graduate.
