Bringing our D&I strategy to life globally

Inclusive Leadership 

Over the past few years, we have been investing in Inclusive Leadership training starting with our Executive team and senior leaders to build know-how and confirm Newmont's commitment to Inclusion and leading inclusively. This training is currently being cascaded to Newmont's entire leadership team globally. 

Global D&I Community of Practice 

Representatives from each of our operations globally attend a monthly D&I Community of Practice. This is an open forum for global collaboration and discussions on all things D&I as well as plan for upcoming activity and events aligned to our D&I strategy as well as international days of significance. 

Site based action plan

All sites including our corporate teams have an annual D&I Action plan to drive progress towards achieving their greater diversity across their teams as well as continuing to build an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive and excel. 

Some examples of the programs and initiatives from these localised action plans include:

  • An Indigenous Cultural Alliance Committee at our Brucejack Operations
  • Indigenous Buddy Program at our Cadia Operations
  • Lihir School to Mine Program
  • Accelerated Development Programs across Cadia and Lihir and many more!
