GenPhysio New Graduate Program

Just graduated?

We know that moving from uni life into your first full-time role can feel like a big step — and maybe even a little overwhelming. That’s why GenPhysio have created a grad program that’s all about support, growth, and helping you find your feet (and your passion!) in the real world of mobile community allied health.

You’ll have the guided support of your Team Manager, Regional Clinical Supervisor, connect with your peers, and start your journey that will ultimately set you up for a diverse clinical career.

You’ll be encouraged to explore different areas of practice with full guidance and support, build your skills, and figure out what truly lights you up as a Clinician.

All about GenPhysio’s New Graduate Program – what we offer our new Clinician

  • A program built by our Clinicians – for our Clinicians
The GenPhysio New Grad Program is a hands-on, supportive 12-month journey that’s tailored to your specific discipline. Our Clinical Supervision team have developed a guided program that develops you at a pace that is comfortable for you.

In the first couple of weeks, you'll get to know the team, our systems, and shadow different clinicians to help you settle in. From week 3, you’ll slowly start seeing clients with plenty of guidance and support. Your caseload builds up at your pace, and we check in regularly to make sure you’re feeling confident. For the first six months, we keep things manageable so you can focus on building your skills and getting comfortable as a clinician.

Hands-on learning - consistent shadowing opportunities with clinicians and supervisors in your discipline. We also offer shadowing with your fellow MDT team members to understand how our disciplines can support one another.

Guided theoretical learnings – we take our graduates through a guided understanding of operating with the NDIS and with incoming aged care and paediatric programs and take you through our suite of templates and supporting material to support you in understanding how to facilitate the best clinical outcomes with the right foundations.
Dedicated space for additional non billable administration time that is balanced to your caseload needs as you develop.

  • New Graduate Kit

From day 1 we send you an IT kit that includes laptop, company paid mobile phone, iPad (depending on role), company uniforms and PPE/First Aid supplies. When you start to gradually get to know your clients, we reimburse for any supplies you may need to support your clients – and our support team are on hand to order and deliver equipment directly to your home.

  • 1:1 Supervision

Each discipline at GenPhysio has a team of dedicated Clinical Supervisors to support our Clinicians to be developed with quality care outcomes at the forefront. We are able to offer our graduates 1:1 support as often as they need it for the start of their role. Our Supervision team all have expertise in unique areas of practice to be able to provide you with the right guidance for clinical decision making and support your development with the right professional development.

  • Discipline specific group supervision – meet with your entire discipline (online and when possible, in person) to go through group learning opportunities, discuss unique caseload questions with your peers and experience PD presentations on discipline specific topics.

  • Multidisciplinary Team Meetings – catch up with your team hub every fortnight to get all the latest information across the business and share a coffee and a catchup!
